Please read these Official Rules and Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") before participating in the Cuenca Expat HUB Feedback & Prize Contest ("the Contest"). By submitting a poll, you agree to be bound by these T&Cs.

1. General Provisions

1.1. Organizer: The Contest is organized and administered by Cuenca Expat HUB ("The Organizer" or "HUB").

1.2. Purpose: The Contest is designed to encourage readership engagement and collect valuable feedback from subscribers through new poll features embedded within published articles.

2. Eligibility

2.1. Residency: This Contest is open only to individuals who are physically residing in Cuenca, Ecuador, at the time of entry and prize redemption.

2.2. Subscriber Status (MANDATORY): Only current, active subscribers to the Cuenca Expat HUB newsletter are eligible to participate and win. Any entry submitted by a non-subscriber will be deemed void.

2.3. Age: Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

2.4. Exclusion: Employees, contractors, or immediate family members of the Organizer are not eligible to enter.

3. Contest Period

3.1. Start Date: Entries will be counted starting with poll answers submitted from the blog article published on November 10th ("Untapped Power on Your Plate...").

3.2. End Date: The contest will remain open until the time of the drawing and announcement.

3.3. Winner Announcement: Winners will be announced on December 8th, 2025.

4. How to Enter

4.1. Entry Mechanism: A single entry into the Contest is generated upon the successful submission of the embedded feedback poll found within published Cuenca Expat HUB articles.

4.2. Multiple Entries: Participants may enter multiple times. The number of entries corresponds directly to the number of unique poll submissions completed by the entrant during the Contest Period. The more polls you answer, the higher your chance to win.

4.3. Data Requirements: Poll submissions must include a unique identifier (such as the subscriber's registered email address) to be linked to the entry. Incomplete or duplicate submissions, or submissions that cannot be verified will be voided.

5. Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to five (5) top participants:

1st Place

One (1) $25 Gift Card for Shungo Foods.

$25 USD

2nd Place

One (1-Year) Subscription to the Interactive Cuenca Map, OR a $15 Gift Card for Treats & Spices (if winner is already a subscriber to the Map).

$15 - $30 USD

3rd Place

One (1) $10 Gift Card for Treats & Spices.

$10 USD

4th Place

One (1) $10 Gift Card for Treats & Spices.

$10 USD

5th Place

One (1) $10 Gift Card for Treats & Spices.

$10 USD

5.1. Prize Conditions: Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash, except where specified (e.g., the 2nd place substitute prize). The Organizer reserves the right to substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value if the original prize is unavailable.

6. Winner Selection and Notification

6.1. Selection: Winners will be selected according to the total number of entries. The person with the most entries will be winner, the runner-up second and so on. Draws will be decided by date of entry. The participant with the oldest poll participation from the specific contest period will decide the win in draws.

6.2. Notification: Winners will be notified via the email address associated with their subscriber account and/or poll submission on the announcement date (December 8th).

6.3. Forfeiture: Winners must respond to the notification email within Five (5) days (business days) to confirm eligibility and arrange prize collection.

Failure to respond within this timeframe will result in the forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner will be selected.

7. General Conditions and Liability

7.1. Final Decision: All decisions of the Organizer regarding the Contest are final and binding.

7.2. Disqualification: The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who violates these T&Cs or tampers with the entry process.

7.3. Liability: By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless the Organizer and its partners from any liability, claims, or damages arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.

7.4. Privacy: Personal data collected during the Contest (primarily email addresses) will be used solely for the administration of the Contest, notification of winners, and verification of subscriber status, and in accordance with the Cuenca Expat HUB Privacy Policy.

7.5. Modification/Termination: The Organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest at any time, for any reason, without liability.

7.6. Placeholders: Where noted, specific prize details, dates, or names ([Placeholder: ... ]) are subject to final confirmation by the Organizer.
