The HUBiteers community is your go-to spot for general topics, lively Q&A sessions, and staying connected with the pulse of Cuenca.
Share insights on local events, discover new restaurant venues, find meetups, and engage in basic integration gatherings. Plus, our dedicated "Lost and Found" thread helps unite lost items (and even pets!) with their owners, fostering a truly caring community spirit. This is where your journey of finding the right community truly begins, helping you navigate the unknown with collective wisdom.
Our HUBiteers group consists of multiple threads. The first thread is the one for rules and guides (and perhaps important updates that the Cuenca Expat HUB team needs to address). This thread is not for posting, so please do not spend time trying to post here. It will not be approved.
After that you'll have a series of threads for different topics and comments. Be sure to look well into the threads and post your comment in the right thread.
So far we have:
"Stay aware of" (Community Alerts) - Share objective, factual heads-up about what happened, where, and when. Focus on information, not blame or personal attacks. This ensures constructive awareness for fellow expats.
Lost and Found - Help reunite lost items (documents, IDs, phones, etc.) or beloved pets with their owners. If you've lost something, post a clear picture and detailed description of the item, location, and circumstances.
Where can I find...? - Seeking reliable local resources, service providers, or stores? Ask here to save time and avoid costly mistakes. Leverage community recommendations for quality and value.
Good Food and Social - Discover Cuenca's best dining experiences and social spots. Share your favorite restaurants, cafes, and places to meet, or find new recommendations for quality food and enjoyable gatherings.
2nd Hand Bazaar - Buy and sell quality used items within the community. Find great deals or give your belongings a new home. A valuable resource for sustainable living.
Goods and Services - Explore a curated list of trusted, long-standing local service providers known for their reputation. Discover reliable products and services recommended by the community.
This is a much needed resource for the expat community. I'm sure it can definitely provide a great service where other expat pages have not been able to fulfill.
